About Us

Katie Baker, CLFP, is the current President of the American Association for Commercial Finance Brokers (AACFB) and serves as Secretary and Officer on the Board of Directors of the Used Truck Association (UTA). She also serves on the Board of Ethics for the City of Fort Wright, Kentucky, reflecting her longstanding commitment to ethical leadership and service. In 2022, Katie earned the prestigious Certified Lease & Finance Professional (CLFP) designation, the premier credential in commercial equipment finance recognizing expertise, ethical standards, and a commitment to continuing education.

Katie is the Founder and President of MC² Finance, a 100% woman-owned commercial finance brokerage she established in 2015. Since its founding, MC² Finance has grown into a nationwide brokerage representing more than 40 commercial banks and specialty finance companies, specializing in equipment financing for transportation, construction, manufacturing, material handling, and other commercial industries.

Katie entered the commercial finance industry in 2012 as Finance Manager for Arrow Truck Sales in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she gained firsthand experience from the dealership perspective and developed a deep understanding of the financing needs of owner-operators, fleet owners, dealerships, and commercial borrowers. She later worked directly for a commercial lender before launching MC² Finance, giving her extensive experience in underwriting, credit analysis, asset-based lending, business development, and risk management.

In addition to commercial finance, Katie is a licensed Property & Casualty insurance professional and the owner of Bluegrass Lakes Insurance, an independent insurance agency serving businesses and individuals. Her experience in both commercial finance and insurance allows her to help clients not only secure the capital needed to grow their businesses but also protect the assets they have worked so hard to build.

Prior to her career in commercial finance, Katie held leadership positions in telecommunications and healthcare. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in French and Telecommunications from the University of Kentucky and is fluent in French.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys international travel, horseback riding, cooking, and learning about different cultures. Having traveled to more than 45 countries, she values the relationships and perspectives gained through exploring the world. Katie is also proud to have raised her son as a single mother. Today, he is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and works in Data Analytics for Procter & Gamble in Arkansas.
